About the position

The Cashier & Customer Service Associate position at P.C. Richard & Son focuses on providing exceptional customer service and performing clerical duties within a retail showroom environment. The role involves handling customer inquiries, managing phone communications, and operating a computerized cash register while ensuring a smooth sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service both on the phone and in person.
  • Handle heavy phone work, including answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls to customers.
  • Call customers to confirm the status of their orders, delivery, and product service.
  • Operate and balance a computerized cash register.
  • Perform data entry using the company's computerized point of sale system and various programs to assist in processing sales orders and customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Must be flexible with hours to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform a variety of general office activities in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with customers via phone and in person.
  • Cashier and computer experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retailing and sales orders.
  • Familiarity with sales till operation.
