About the position

The Cashier & Customer Service Associate position at P.C. Richard & Son focuses on providing exceptional customer service and performing clerical duties within the retail showroom office. The role involves handling customer inquiries, managing phone communications, operating a cash register, and assisting with sales orders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service both on the phone and in person.
  • Handle heavy phone work, including answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls to customers.
  • Confirm the status of customer orders, delivery, and product service through calls.
  • Operate and balance a computerized cash register.
  • Perform data entry using the company's computerized point of sale system.
  • Assist in processing sales orders and customer inquiries.
  • Perform various general office activities in a team player environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with customers via phone and in person.
  • Experience with cash registers and computer systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
