About the position
The Cashier/Customer Service/Stocker position involves providing excellent customer service at a fuel station, maintaining cleanliness, and handling cash transactions. The role requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to company standards and legal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons.
- Collect cash payments and provide change or charge purchases to credit cards.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including wearing a uniform and name tag.
- Keep the work environment clean, including inside the store and outside at the gasoline pumps.
- Stock the store and cooler as needed.
- Wipe down pumps and clean restrooms.
- Empty trash and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the station.
- Keep accurate reports of daily transactions and activities.
- Adhere to all federal and state laws regarding the sale of tobacco, lottery, and alcohol.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Dependability and timeliness are a must.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in retail sales is preferred.
