About the position
The Cashier/Customer Service Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers at Village Market @ Shelton Vineyards. This role involves managing the cash register, processing sales transactions, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment. Associates will also assist with stocking and maintaining store inventory, contributing to a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Monitor the cash register and ring up sales accurately.
- Request payment for purchases and provide correct change.
- Stock and organize store areas as needed.
- Remove trash and ensure cleanliness of the store.
- Complete shift reports and account for product numbers during vendor check-in.
- Maintain a clean and manageable work area.
- Perform repetitive tasks accurately, including lifting and moving products.
Requirements
- Ability to make change and handle cash transactions.
- Sufficient visual acuity to check identification.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, including carrying cases of beverages.
- Experience in stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness.
- Ability to work in cooler temperatures for short periods.
