About the position

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support while ensuring a smooth checkout experience. You will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales through your product knowledge and engaging communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Upsell products by demonstrating features and benefits to customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by assisting with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks.
• Provide product demos to educate customers about new or featured items.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring resolution to their satisfaction.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred, with familiarity in operating POS systems.
• Knowledge of retail math to assist in transactions and inventory management.
• Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive shopping environment.
• Proficient in handling cash registers and processing various payment methods accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with customers quickly.
