About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a well-presented store.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
• Perform basic retail math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
• Supervise junior staff members as required, providing guidance and support.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Basic understanding of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
• Experience in upselling products is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
