About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and contribute to a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register.
• Handle cash and credit card payments while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Upsell products and services to meet customer needs and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
• Assist in managing inventory by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Experience in retail sales or cash handling preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
• Knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
• Ability to supervise junior staff or new hires as needed.
• Skills in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in quick service & fast food restaurant (1 year preferred).
