About the position

The Cashier/Customer Service position at Bishop's Attic involves managing customer transactions, providing excellent service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role requires accuracy in handling cash and assisting customers with their purchases while ensuring compliance with store policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform the daily function required of a cashier as outlined in the Bishop's Attic-II Cashier Guidelines.
• Accurately receive and dispense customer cash change.
• Ring up and check out customers in a timely manner.
• Bagging or boxing customer's purchases, if necessary, and maintain bags and ensure hangers are organized and returned to the proper area.
• Dispense sales receipts, credit vouchers, gift certificates, and voucher programs.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
• Assist in keeping dressing rooms and sales floor picked up and maintain order in and around the cash register station throughout the day.
• Maintain composure when dealing with difficult customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Self-motivated and capable of operating with minimal direction.
• Good customer and communication skills.
• Experience or ability to learn and understand cash register functions.
• Ability to count money quickly and accurately.
