About the position

As a Cashier & Front End Services associate at Walmart, you will play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience. You will be the first, last, and sometimes the only associate a customer interacts with, making it essential to greet, smile, and thank every customer. Your positive attitude and ability to multitask will be key as you handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times such as evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. Your tasks will include scanning items, explaining prices, bagging items properly, counting cash back, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. In addition to cashier duties, you will also be responsible for ensuring that customers have a great first and last impression of the store. This includes gathering shopping carts from the parking lot, operating equipment to move carts inside the store, and cleaning restrooms, sales floors, and parking lots as needed. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers, and you will be expected to assist other associates across the store as needed.
