About the position

The Cashier at Nalley Hyundai is responsible for recording and processing transactions, managing customer interactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential in promoting customer retention through effective communication and organizational skills, while also supporting the service department by managing appointments and assisting with clerical duties.

Responsibilities

  • Record and process transactions accurately.
  • Receive callers and determine the nature of their business.
  • Set appointments and manage Repair Orders.
  • Make outbound calls for service reminders and marketing campaigns.
  • Compile reports on cash receipts, expenditures, and other financial statistics.
  • Balance receipts against deposit reports and batch credit card machines.
  • Greet walk-in customers and assist with their inquiries.
  • Assist service advisors by explaining repair orders to customers.
  • Coordinate courtesy van drivers for customer drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • Assist Customer Relations Manager in resolving customer complaints.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficient in using computers and related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
