About the position

The position involves processing member purchases at BJ's Wholesale Club in a courteous and friendly manner, while providing excellent customer service. Team members are responsible for verifying, renewing, and upgrading memberships, scanning merchandise, and accepting various forms of payment. The role emphasizes maintaining cleanliness in the front-line department and ensuring a safe and positive environment for both members and team members.

Responsibilities

• Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Verify, renew, and upgrade membership products.
• Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payment.
• Provide excellent member service efficiently and productively.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front-line department.
• Support the application of club policies and procedures.
• Act with honesty and integrity to address member concerns.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve goals.
• Deliver service excellence through all points of contact.
• Resolve and deescalate member concerns effectively.
• Maintain visible and accurate signage in the club.
• Understand and access production and financial performance reporting for the department.

Requirements

• Basic math skills preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.
