About the position

The Cashier/Sales Associate position at GPM Investments LLC is a part-time role focused on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming store environment. Associates will engage with customers, manage transactions, and ensure the store is well-stocked and clean. Responsibilities

• Be the friendly face that greets everyone who walks through our doors and offers assistance.
• Keep shelves stocked, displays appealing, and the store clean.
• Master upselling and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and achieve sales goals.
• Encourage customers to join the loyalty rewards program and highlight its benefits.
• Efficiently manage the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and assist where needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including restrooms and outdoor spaces.
• Actively participate in keeping the outdoor space clean and welcoming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older in specified states, or 21 years or older in others.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
• Personable and positive demeanor with a knack for making people feel welcome.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on enhancing customer experience.
• Reliable and responsible with punctuality and trustworthiness.
• Flexible and adaptable to various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is appreciated but not required.
