About the position

The Cashier/Sales Associate (Softlines Associate) is a temporary, part-time, seasonal role focused on enhancing the shopping experience for Members at the Sears Tukwila location. This position involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining store displays, and assisting Members with their purchases and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the Member experience in the store and at every touchpoint.
• Provide the highest degree of Member service by prioritizing their needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Shop Your Way benefits, credit, leasing, warranty, and protection plans.
• Greet Members in a professional and engaging manner.
• Complete Member transactions accurately and efficiently using POS and online systems.
• Assist Members in finding products and making merchandise selections.
• Set and maintain promotional and seasonal signage according to standards.
• Assist store leadership in resolving Member issues when appropriate.
• Maintain merchandise support tasks during non-peak hours.
• Stay informed about upcoming events and product updates.
• Adhere to merchandise protection standards.
• Keep the department organized and ready for Members.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Basic reading, arithmetic, and writing skills.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Ability to work while standing for long periods.
• Capability to lift and hold bulky merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Physical movements including reaching, stretching, and bending as required by the job.
• Basic Internet navigation skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of related experience.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
