About the position
The Cashier/Sales Associate position involves handling customer transactions, managing cash control, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The role requires multitasking and the ability to efficiently process payments while maintaining a clean and organized store.
Responsibilities
- Collect cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers.
- Make change accurately and efficiently.
- Issue receipts to customers.
- Deal with returns and refunds as necessary.
- Maintain cash control over register drawer and verify amounts are correct.
- Answer customer questions as they arise.
- Calculate customer bills through cash register ringing.
- Help with other tasks as needed including managing shelves, tracking inventory, and keeping the store clean.
Requirements
- Must be able to maintain multiple tasks well in a fast-paced work environment.
- High school or equivalent education (Preferred).
Nice-to-haves
- Language skills in Spanish or other languages (Preferred).
