About the position

As a Cashier at JCPenney, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the sales experience. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain high checkout standards while assisting with various operational tasks such as Omnichannel support, inventory management, and recovery processes. You will be expected to uphold performance standards related to shrink and safety, ensuring that you meet the established benchmarks associated with your role. In this position, you will greet and assist customers, providing them with excellent service and demonstrating the company's core values consistently. You will actively engage with customers to resolve issues and assist them with credit, rewards, and gift card programs. Additionally, you will promote various sales programs, including Findmore, aimed at driving sales and improving customer service. Your role will also involve completing checkout processes, including handling returns and re-ticketing, while ensuring that merchandising standards are met at all checkouts. You will be responsible for stocking and merchandising impulse fixtures and replenishing items as needed. Utilizing the Point of Sale on the Mobile Warrior device, you will support line management and call for assistance when necessary. Moreover, you will assist with Omnichannel efforts, participate in annual inventory processes, and support the company's shrink and safety initiatives. Consistently meeting performance standards related to product and service sales, customer service, productivity, and attendance will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers while providing excellent customer service.
