This role is essential in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while ensuring smooth operations at the checkout. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle cash transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of store products to provide effective product demonstrations and upselling opportunities.
• Stock shelves and ensure that the sales floor is organized and well-presented.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
• Provide support in resolving customer complaints or issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to perform product demos effectively to enhance sales opportunities.
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply as it can enhance communication with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with upselling techniques is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves.
