About the position
As a Cashier/Stocker at Dirt Cheap Store, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include handling money transactions, maintaining an orderly checkout area, and providing excellent customer service. You will be trained on the job to operate the cash register and other necessary equipment, ensuring that you are well-prepared to assist customers effectively. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace while also being able to communicate effectively with both team members and customers. You will be expected to manage cash drawers accurately, ensuring that adequate change is available at all times. In addition to your primary duties, you will also be responsible for stocking shelves and ensuring that products are displayed properly. This role requires you to be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment, where multitasking is essential. You will be part of a team that values collaboration and communication, and your contributions will directly impact the overall customer experience. The position offers a starting pay of $10.00 per hour, with weekly pay schedules. After six months of employment, you will be eligible for a 401k plan with a matching contribution of 3% to 5%. Additionally, you will receive life insurance coverage provided by Channel Control Merchants, as well as visual, dental, and medical benefits after 60 days of employment. An employee assistance program is also available to support your well-being. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, as you may be asked to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will need to be physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of your daily responsibilities.
