About the position

The Cashier/Stocker position is a full-time role focused on providing excellent customer service while managing cash register operations and maintaining store inventory. The role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and organized work environment, and effectively communicating with management regarding operational discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Follow the company's customer relations philosophy by prioritizing customer needs.
• Comply with management's directions and guidelines within company policy.
• Report all sales, cash, and operational discrepancies to store management.
• Prepare shift-change reports and minimize cashier errors.
• Accurately post all markups, markdowns, and merchandise write-offs.
• Advise management of any situations or policy violations affecting store performance.
• Keep coolers and merchandise shelves fully stocked and organized.
• Lift 20-50 lbs as needed during stocking duties.
• Stand for an 8-hour shift while performing cashier duties.
• Clean and maintain equipment, floors, and restrooms.
• Ensure the register area is clean and organized, free of personal belongings.
• Use up-selling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
• Provide excellent customer service with pleasant greetings and smiles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to work as a cashier.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to work as a stocker.
• Ability to obtain a TAM and Health Card.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
