About the position

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will serve as the face of the company, responsible for processing customer orders quickly and accurately while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves handling cash and credit transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. You will also support the store by stocking shelves and providing information about products and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Assist customers with inquiries and resolve complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas.
• Stock shelves and assist with store maintenance as needed.
• Stay informed about weekly ad items and store events.
• Communicate effectively with front end manager and Head Cashier.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience preferred.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers and scanners.
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities and multi-task effectively.
• Must be able to lift/carry products weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers.
