About the position

The Cashier Associate plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for guests at la Madeleine. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service by efficiently processing transactions, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. The Cashier is responsible for greeting customers warmly, handling food and beverage orders, and supporting overall guest satisfaction through effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Act as front-line customer service representative, greeting customers and taking their orders in a friendly manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring all areas of the bakery are clean and supplied, following proper food handling sanitation procedures.
• Prepare products, check for quality, and assure proper presentation and stocking.
• Provide fast, timely, and accurate service by communicating effectively, organizing tasks, and working as part of a team.
• Suggestively sell and keep customers informed about products and promotions.
• Assist in financial accountability by correctly recording orders, handling cash transactions, and counting the drawer.
• Act as a role model and provide leadership support to customers and staff, including on-the-job training for new associates.
• Work collaboratively with others to support operations and maintain the essence of the brand.
• Be flexible and able to handle changes, difficult customers, and emergencies in the store.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by a member of management.
