About the position

The Cashier position at The Barrel Social Club involves providing excellent customer service in a members-only setting that features poker, darts, cornhole, and billiards. The role requires greeting members, managing customer flow, and ensuring a safe and organized environment while handling transactions and maintaining inventory. Team members are expected to uphold the company's standards of conduct and contribute to a memorable club experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet all new and existing members
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests
• Manage customer flow including seating and wait lists
• Answer phone calls and customer questions
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, supplied, and secure workstation
• Accurately complete and document customer transactions
• Verify balances and safeguard assets
• Track, update, and restock inventory
• Consistently communicate with management and other staff, immediately reporting any infractions, issues, concerns, or needs for assistance
• Stay up-to-date on player services operations and relevant laws
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions, events, tournaments, and special offers throughout the property and effectively communicate to guests
• Fulfill promotional offers by the club, including but not limited to coupons, prizes, redemption, and drawing tickets

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Accounting or math degree preferred
• 6+ months customer service experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year poker experience strongly preferred
• Experience with point-of-sale system preferred
• Consistent and regular attendance
• Availability to work varied shifts (including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays)
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs or exert up to 30 lbs of force to move objects
