About the position
The Service Cashier at Toyota of Plano is responsible for processing monetary and credit card transactions, completing and closing repair orders for clients, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. This role requires a focus on customer service and attention to detail in handling financial transactions and records.
Responsibilities
- Prints repair orders, parts invoices, bills, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
- Records amounts received and prepares cash reports of transactions.
- Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Processes repair orders and operates credit card and 'Telecheck' machines.
- Maintains records of daily transaction documentation.
- Calculates discounts, coupons, and charges and applies them to proper accounts on repair orders.
- Prepares daily bank deposits and processes Finance and Insurance (F&I) sales monies.
- Understands extended service policies and processes extended warranty payments for repair orders.
- Assists in scheduling courtesy transportation and processes mail.
- Assists receptionist with phone calls and attends department meetings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
