Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment for customers.
• Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
• Engage and assist customers actively as a visible presence in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checkout.
• Understand and adhere to the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various payment methods according to company policy.
• Report pricing discrepancies and adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items.
• Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
• Experience as a Cashier/Checker
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
• Understanding of company policies regarding cash shortages and overages
