About the position

The Head Cashier plays a vital role in customer service by ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate service at the checkout. This position involves overseeing Cashiers, processing transactions, and maintaining the Self-Checkout area while providing support and training to other Front End Associates.

Responsibilities

• Process Checkout and Return transactions efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area.
• Provide customers with product knowledge and identify selling opportunities.
• Expedite price checks and approve Point of Sale transactions.
• Assist in markdowns for various departments including mainline registers and Tool Rental.
• Provide first level escalation for customer issues.
• Supervise, coach, and train other Front End Associates.
• Participate in the training of new Cashiers.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Cashier experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a supervisory role.
• Familiarity with retail operations.
