About the position

The Head Cashier plays a vital role in customer service by ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate service at the checkout. This position involves overseeing cashiers, processing transactions, and maintaining the self-checkout area while also providing training and support to other front-end associates.

Responsibilities

• Process checkout and return transactions efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area.
• Provide customers with product knowledge and identify selling opportunities.
• Expedite price checks and approve Point of Sale transactions.
• Assist in the supervision, coaching, and training of new cashiers.
• Provide first level escalation for customer issues.

Requirements

• 1+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to train and coach other associates.
