About the position

FreshTake Grocery is looking for a Cashier to join our front-end team. This role involves handling customer transactions, bagging groceries, and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction and service. The Cashier will be responsible for operating the cash register and handling transactions accurately and efficiently. The Cashier will also assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays, ensuring that the checkout area is clean and organized. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality, as well as the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently
• Bag groceries for customers, ensuring items are packed with care
• Provide excellent customer service and answer customer inquiries
• Maintain high cleanliness and organization standards at the checkout area
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays
• Follow cash handling and checkout procedures set forth by the Front End Manager
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and issues

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years of age
