About the position

The Cashier position at Jack In The Box is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service, quality food, and maintaining a clean restaurant environment. This role involves performing various workstations in accordance with company procedures and guest expectations, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and valued while adhering to food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by providing excellent service and quality food.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant interior and exterior.
• Prepare and assemble food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system.
• Ensure food safety by following all food safety policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet guest needs and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience in guest service or food preparation is helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of another language may be required based on location.
• Ability to perform basic math and read written English.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for 90%-95% of the shift and lift 15-25 lbs.
