About the position

As a Cashier at Wingstop, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly, and excellent customer service during the order-taking process, whether in person or over the phone. The role requires effective communication with team members to ensure guest satisfaction and timely order delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast, friendly, and excellent customer service during the order-taking process.
• Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Place orders for guests in-person and over the phone, upselling when appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, sauce descriptions, and promotions to assist guests.
• Monitor that all orders are ready within quoted guest order readiness times.
• Verify the accuracy and presentation of all guest orders before delivery.
• Process cash, credit card, and gift card transactions accurately.
• Assist in maintaining a clean workplace, including restocking products as needed.
• Practice safe food handling procedures and promote safety in the workplace.
• Handle guest complaints and guide the manager on duty if escalation is needed.

Requirements

• Experience using a computer and register (POS) system preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Strong cash handling skills.
• Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• Cashier and restaurant experience a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and understand oral and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
