The Cashier position at Buffalo Wild Wings is essential in creating legendary experiences for guests by managing the takeout process from order to pick-up and payment. This role requires a warm welcome to guests as they enter the sports bar, fostering personalized and authentic connections. Cashiers engage with guests waiting for their takeout orders and are responsible for answering phones promptly, adhering to proper phone etiquette as per BWW standards. They take guest orders either via phone or in person, following the established takeout steps of service. In addition to taking orders, Cashiers are expected to display salesmanship by recommending items and upselling add-ons and customizations to enhance the takeout experience. They utilize the point-of-sale system to enter all orders while following proper cash handling procedures. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness is crucial, as Cashiers are responsible for keeping both the front of house (FOH) and heart of house (HOH) areas sanitized and orderly. This includes tasks such as emptying trash, cleaning food contact surfaces, and stocking various stations. Cashiers also bag and manage takeout orders, ensuring accuracy before presenting them to guests or delivery drivers. They are expected to thank guests and invite them back as they leave, assisting others as needed. Staying current on all required training and certifications is essential, as is diligently following safety requirements. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this role dynamic and integral to the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcomes guests when they enter the sports bar, making personalized and authentic connections.
  • Engages with guests waiting for takeout orders.
  • Answers the phones timely with proper phone etiquette, according to BWW standards.
  • Takes guest takeout orders via phone or in person, following the takeout steps of service.
  • Displays salesmanship by recommending items, upselling add-ons and customizations to enhance guests take out experience.
  • Utilizes point-of-sale system to enter takeout and all other orders using proper cash handling procedures.
  • Complies with all specs, quality standards, and department rules and procedures.
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness and keeps a sanitized and orderly environment in the HOH and FOH.
  • Bags and manages takeout orders, checking for accuracy.
  • Presents and reviews takeout orders with guests/delivery drivers to confirm satisfaction.
  • Thanks guests and invites them back on their way out.
  • Assists others as needed.
  • Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and certifications.
  • Diligently follows safety requirements and models behavior that protects them and others.

Requirements

  • Minimum 16 years of age (or higher per applicable law).
  • Certified in any state, county, or local food or alcohol handling requirements.
  • Superior guest service and hospitality skills.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, RAS and security procedures.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skill in time management and organization with attention to detail.
  • Ability to take direction and execute team and BWW objectives.
  • Capacity to follow specific service time and guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time.
