About the position

This position is for actors to participate in a semi-staged workshop of a musical directed by an award-winning director. The workshop involves reading multiple brief roles while walking on and off-stage, rather than performing fully acted scenes. The actors will be compensated with a stipend and provided with snacks and beverages during the sessions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a semi-staged workshop of a musical by reading multiple brief roles.
• Attend a read-through of the script on November 11 from 6-8:30pm.
• Participate in a filmed read-through and discussion on November 12 from 4-7pm.

Requirements

• Ability to portray characters within the age range of 20-35.
• Experience in acting, preferably in musical theater.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with semi-staged readings or workshops.
• Familiarity with strong language and themes related to self-harm and incel culture.
