About the position

The Casual Airport Operations Aide position at Cape May Airport is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the airport operations area, which includes all properties within the airport security fence. This part-time role involves assisting with inspections and compliance with various regulations, while working under the direction of Airport Operations Specialists or managers. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as there are no guaranteed hours or assignments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of the Airport Operations area within the airport security fence.
• Assist Airport Operations Specialists or managers with inspections of fuel systems, storm water drainage, and airfield systems.
• Operate an Authority vehicle for daily inspections in and around the Airport Operations and landside areas.
• Interact with airport administration, maintenance, and Authority customers to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• General knowledge of airport operations and aircraft movement on airfields.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive and operate motorized vehicles.
• Proficiency with personal computers and standard business applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent related experience.
• Previous experience working at an airport or airfield.
• Valid Driver's License.
