The University of Hawai'i at Manoa is seeking a Casual Hire - Football Recruiting Coordinator to join the Athletics Department. This is a full-time temporary position that will last for up to 89 days, with a maximum of 40 hours per week. The role is designed for individuals looking for short-term employment within the university, and as such, it does not offer the same benefits as regular employees, such as paid leave and holidays. The successful candidate will work closely with the Football Operations staff and report directly to the Head Football Coach. In this position, the coordinator will oversee the recruiting department for Hawaii Football, assisting the director of player personnel with daily tasks. Building relationships with high school and junior college coaches and players is essential, as is maintaining accurate recruiting logs. The coordinator will act as a liaison between the recruiting department and the Head Coach, Chief of Staff, and Director of Player Personnel. Additionally, the coordinator will identify, evaluate, and organize data on prospective student-athletes, ensuring that all information is compliant with NCAA regulations. The role also involves overseeing preliminary academic evaluations of prospective student-athletes and organizing the UH Football Coaches Clinic, which includes advertising and scheduling. The coordinator will work closely with the Athletic Compliance Office to ensure adherence to all NCAA rules and regulations, and will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information. A positive and professional attitude is crucial, as the coordinator will collaborate with various stakeholders within the Athletics Department and the broader university community. Candidates must be aware of and comply with all relevant laws, policies, and NCAA rules, and must report any potential violations to the appropriate authorities. This position is not permitted to provide technical or tactical instruction to student-athletes, as per NCAA regulations.
