About the position
The Casual Part-Time Team Member at Jo-Ann Stores is responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store standards while driving sales through product knowledge and innovative merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and use the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
- Engage in friendly conversation with customers about their projects.
- Process customer transactions efficiently and professionally at the cutting counter and cash register.
- Lift and arrange items on shelves and racks, and unload freight from the truck.
- Stock shelves accurately according to planogram and maintain high productivity.
- Invite customers to participate in store activities and drive sales through product knowledge.
- Assist other team members and train new hires on various tasks.
Requirements
- No experience required, but 1-3 years in a customer-centric environment preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Effective communication skills in a group environment.
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
