About the position

Trexis Insurance is seeking a full-time Casualty Claims Adjuster in Phoenix, AZ, who will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling moderate to complex auto claims. This role requires minimal supervision and involves setting customer expectations, communicating timelines, and explaining applicable laws and coverages.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate moderate to complex auto claims.
• Determine coverage, liability, and damages for claims.
• Set proper reserves for claims.
• Communicate timelines for investigation to customers.
• Interpret personal auto policy language and analyze coverage and liability.
• Secure detailed factual recorded statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Document the claim file with notes and evaluations.
• Review medical specials to evaluate and negotiate Bodily Injury claims.
• Maintain adequate loss reserves and manage diaries for timely claims resolution.
• Recognize and assign claims to the SIU Department.
• Meet or exceed file quality standards and customer expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience handling 3rd Party Bodily Injury claims required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and data entry skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to make independent claims handling decisions.
• Strong reasoning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
