About the position

Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue is seeking a part-time Cat Care Attendant to provide essential care for cats at their Cuyahoga Falls location. The role involves ensuring the health and well-being of the cats, maintaining cleanliness in their environment, and assisting with various tasks related to animal care. The position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional service to the animals and the community.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing cat cages and general population cat room
• Feeding and caring for cats
• Medicating cats as needed
• Assessing the health of each cat for physical illness and mental status changes
• Notifying appropriate persons and taking action as directed
• Assisting medical staff when necessary
• Transporting animals as necessary
• Performing light office work
• Keeping the cat area clean and healthy for the animals
• Performing any other related duties in caring for cats/kittens and their environment

Requirements

• Self-motivated and caring
• Energetic and honest
• Experience with animals is mandatory
• Punctual and dependable
• Ability to lift at least 40lbs
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable with cats

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to work additional shifts to cover for illness and vacations
• Training to work with dogs
