About the position

The Catalog Clerk plays a crucial role in managing supplier catalog requests generated by O'Reilly store team members, independent jobber stores, and the new store setup team. This position is responsible for overseeing the issuance of supplier catalog updates to both O'Reilly and independent jobber stores, ensuring that all team members have access to the latest information and resources necessary for their operations. The Catalog Clerk will issue new supplier catalogs and updates, restock shelves with new supplier catalogs and O'Reilly publications, and fill call-in and e-form requests for these materials. Additionally, the role involves following up on back-ordered supplier catalogs and preparing supplier sets of catalogs for new stores. The Catalog Clerk will also be required to operate powered equipment, including a Motorized Pallet Jack, and will be responsible for filling supplier catalog orders generated by the planogram checklist program. This ensures that store customers have access to the latest supplier publications available. The position requires answering phone calls within the department and assisting with any Catalog Department functions and special projects as assigned by the Central Support Services Manager. The Catalog Clerk must be detail-oriented and capable of handling large quantities of paperwork while performing various physical tasks throughout the day, including carrying heavy loads, sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, and climbing stairs. Overall, this position is essential for maintaining the flow of information and resources within the company, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the O'Reilly Auto Parts operations.

Responsibilities

  • Issue new supplier catalogs and updates.
  • Restock shelves with new supplier catalogs and O'Reilly Publications.
  • Fill call-in and e-form requests for supplier catalogs and O'Reilly publications.
  • Follow up on back ordered supplier catalogs.
  • Hole-punch catalogs and other informational materials using the electric hole-punch.
  • Prepare supplier sets of catalogs for new stores.
  • Operate powered equipment including a Motorized Pallet Jack.
  • Fill supplier catalog orders generated by the planogram checklist program.
  • Answer phone calls within the department.
  • Assist with any Catalog Department functions and special projects as assigned by the Central Support Services Manager.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to sort and handle large quantities of paperwork.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must be able to carry heavy loads, sit, stand, reach, stoop, and climb stairs numerous times throughout the day.
  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to be trained to operate the Motorized Pallet Jack.
