The Catalyst Support Technician position at USA DeBusk involves working in various industrial settings, including oxygen, fertilizer, and petrochemical plants and refineries. This role requires the technician to perform tasks that necessitate confined space entry in both air and inert atmospheric conditions. The technician will be responsible for vacuuming catalyst or other materials, shoveling catalyst to the outside of reactors, and dismantling or installing various reactor hardware items. Cleaning, sampling, and video-taping specified areas of concern are also part of the job responsibilities. The technician will assist in the removal or replacement of items from or into the reactor and will set up and dismantle unloading and reloading equipment, including screeners, drum dumpers, and dust collectors. In addition to these tasks, the technician is expected to perform maintenance on all equipment under direct and indirect supervision. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting the company's business through a positive attitude and professional demeanor while ensuring a safe work environment. The technician will also be responsible for cleaning up the work area and equipment after completing tasks, maintaining a safe and clean workplace, and assisting in the operation of equipment or power tools as directed. Safety is paramount, and the technician must comply with all safety rules and regulations, report any deficiencies, and wear the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE). The position requires a commitment to safety and the ability to work in physically demanding environments, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in confined spaces. The technician must also be capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions and be prepared to wear PPE, including hard hats, gloves, and respirators. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of catalyst services within the industrial cleaning sector.
