About the position

The Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Category Demand Planning & Inventory Management Leader at Lenovo is responsible for building and leading a highly technical organization across all geographical areas. This role focuses on providing technical support to the International Sales Organization (ISO) and ensuring accurate demand forecasting and inventory management to maximize revenue. The leader will represent the sales team's voice in product development and feature requests, while also managing a team of demand and inventory planners.

Responsibilities

  • Full people-management responsibilities for a team of demand and inventory planners.
  • Accountable for the team's forecast accuracy and resources, providing input on the organization's decision-making for operational plans.
  • Use research and analysis to predict consumer demand, manage inventory, and maximize revenue.
  • Partner with sales and ISG business units to create and maintain demand forecasting models as an input into the GSC S&OP process.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand and identify growth opportunities.
  • Work with sales and supply chain managers to match supply with demand and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks for forecast accuracy to measure actual performance against goals.
  • Prepare and present forecast and inventory metrics to management teams.
  • Review and improve forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to the business based on significant expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
  • 10+ years previous experience in Sales, Sales Management, or Marketing.

  • Previous experience managing diverse and geographically dispersed employees.
  • Previous experience in a planning role.
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional executives on critical planning work.
  • Ability to quickly solve ambiguous problems with limited data using analytic skills and judgment.
