About the position

The Inventory Manager at Levi Strauss & Co. is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, responsible for developing and managing complex inventory strategies that align with the company's financial goals. This position involves promoting communication between various departments, managing the Open-to-buy process, resolving product shipment issues, and leading team members to achieve performance objectives. The role also requires collaboration with the Global Supply Chain and category managers to optimize inventory and meet regional objectives.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage complex inventory strategies that align with financial goals.
• Promote communication between merchandise planning, supply planning, and inventory management to build delivery plans.
• Manage the Open-to-buy process and achieve annual plans.
• Resolve issues related to product shipment delays.
• Provide critical support in the preparation of Regional S&OP.
• Lead team members to ensure performance objectives are achieved and ongoing career development occurs.
• Ensure PO issuance.
• Work with Global Supply Chain to define different inventory optimization initiatives and define requirements.
• Collaborate closely with category managers to achieve regional objectives and analyze confirmed deliveries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience, preferably in apparel.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications and SAP.
• Ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal, and marketplace information.
• Experience conducting financial analysis to determine optimum profitability strategies for inventory flow.
