About the position

The Category Manager for Consumer Products at Microsoft will oversee the Licensing division for Home and Health and Beauty categories. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategic plans to drive growth within these categories, requiring a blend of analytical skills, strategic vision, and a passion for licensing. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Microsoft's gaming vision and strategy, contributing to the overall mission of empowering individuals and organizations globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies for Home, Health and Beauty, and the ecommerce store.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, white space, and competitive landscape to drive category growth.
  • Assist with the annual operating plan and manage the quarterly forecast process, developing licensee objectives and initiatives to drive growth.
  • Actively manage and develop partnerships with new and existing licensees.
  • Negotiate licensing agreements, manage contract terms, and onboard partners.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, and retail to develop innovative and impactful programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 3+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in consumer products business and retail landscapes in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years category management, product management, marketing strategy, business planning, product planning, or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
