About the position

This internship at TikTok offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing e-commerce sector. Interns will work on identifying and acquiring merchants to support category growth, while also developing innovative collaborative models that align with merchants' development plans. The role emphasizes a consultative approach, providing strategic solutions to clients and updating them on product developments and promotional opportunities. This program is designed to foster personal and professional growth through real-world applications and enriching workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and acquire a book of merchants to support category growth.
  • Discover innovative collaborative models that fit into merchants' short-term and long-term development plans, and invest platform resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Employ a consultative approach by offering strategic content, creator/affiliate/agency partner, merchandising, and logistical solutions to all clients.
  • Create compelling sales propositions utilizing best practices and case studies.
  • Update active clients on TikTok Shop product developments and new promotional opportunities.
  • Solve key challenges to business growth through strong collaboration with peers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or a graduate degree.
  • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong presentation and sales foundations.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapid, agile, and often ambiguous environment with a growth mindset.
  • Attention to detail, affinity for analytics, logical and strong problem solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with TikTok and other content platforms; experience in content-based eCommerce (brand and/or platform-side) is highly preferred.
  • Strong network and connections with brands and/or retailers is a plus.
  • Passion for TikTok and eCommerce, eager to exceed challenging goals while building something truly unique to the market.
