About the position

The Category Manager for Jewelry at Amanda Blu & Co. is responsible for leading product development and managing the jewelry category to achieve sales and gross margin budgets. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to drive strategic growth. The manager will oversee assortment planning, product pricing, and coordinate with marketing and creative teams to ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development team to achieve jewelry category sales and gross margin budgets.
• Conduct sales analyses and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities.
• Develop assortment plans and identify trends in jewelry categories.
• Present accurate data for seasonal assortment planning updates.
• Maintain data integrity of merchandising attributes from item inception to printed catalogs and websites.
• Build strong teamwork and communication strategies with various departments.
• Collaborate with marketing to execute product launch strategies.
• Coordinate with the Executive Team on key accounts assortments and Scan Based Trading programs.
• Own the creation and maintenance of product plans throughout various stages of development.
• Research product offerings to aid in new product development.
• Aid in execution and implementation of margin reviews and pricing structure strategies.
• Conduct competitive market research regularly.
• Develop reports and presentations for product development and assortment planning.
• Coordinate and manage security of samples/stock.
• Prepare product category reviews and key account meeting materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4 years of category management or comparable merchant experience
• 5 years of management experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to travel overseas to China offices and factories
