The ability to navigate ambiguity and work effectively under pressure is essential for success in this role. In this position, the Category Marketing Specialist will support the Beauty SPLN work during the busy TRN season, which involves attending key meetings to gain insights into the strategy leading up to the July kick-off. The role includes gathering brand assets, routing creative content for approvals, and supporting various creative requests. Additionally, the specialist will play a crucial role in creating and supporting brand creative reviews, ensuring that all marketing initiatives align with the overall business objectives and resonate with the target audience. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities, and a demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners. This role requires effective guidance of cross-functional teams to advocate for guest-focused solutions, making it essential for the specialist to be a proactive and strategic thinker who can drive results in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Four-Year degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience, with a strong preference for previous cosmetics, hair care & skin care marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into marketing strategy and writing successful creative briefs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with varying levels of detail
  • Ability to work effectively amidst ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with partners internal and external to the enterprise
