About the position

The Caterer position is responsible for providing catering services to customers while maintaining a high standard of customer service. The role involves coordinating the delivery and presentation of catered events, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and working collaboratively with team members to meet departmental objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering services for all customers utilizing Foodservice's Catering.
• Maintain a customer service approach at all times when fulfilling responsibilities.
• Coordinate the delivery of special functions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Process catering requisition forms according to established standards.
• Coordinate the delivery and presentation of catered events according to established standards.
• Maintain and clean all equipment relating to the delivery of special functions.
• Ensure that HACCP standards are followed at all times.
• Inform the Manager about quality issues.
• Drive a van on campus as required.
• Meet with Manager on a routine basis to discuss upcoming events and issues.
• Work cooperatively with other personnel in a team effort to accomplish departmental objectives.
• Access the environmental needs of designated areas, including cleanliness of rest rooms, meeting rooms, and kitchen.
• Notify Environmental Services of any areas needing attention.
• Ensure that all customer needs of designated areas are met, including audiovisual and photocopying needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of Food Service experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
