About the position

As a Catering & Event Manager at Hilton, you will be responsible for executing sales agreements for moderately-sized and complex events, including weddings, while ensuring outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your role will involve proactive communication with customers and internal teams, negotiation of pricing and service agreements, and management of event logistics to deliver exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

• Initiate verbal and written communication with customers and internal teams regarding payment structures, room block management, and event details.
• Analyze customers' service and product needs, authorizing resolutions to concerns while maintaining profitability.
• Represent the hotel in executing negotiated group sales agreements, including room blocks and food and beverage services.
• Negotiate service agreements with affiliated companies and vendor partners.
• Direct customer services through site visits, menu testing, and planning meetings for groups.
• Participate in internal and external meetings and training events as determined by the Director of Events.
• Manage customer relationships by drafting proposals and contracts, responding to inquiries, and organizing event arrangements.
• Provide direction and supervision of event logistics to team members responsible for execution.
• Conduct conferences with customers to solicit and close group and local catering business.
• Meet with and entertain customers, conducting property tours and promoting facilities.
