About the position

The Catering Assistant/Front of House Team Member plays a crucial role in supporting the catering manager by ensuring smooth operations during events. This position involves setting up, serving, and cleaning up at various catering events while providing excellent customer service to guests. The role requires a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, serves, and cleans up at banquets, luncheons, coffees, etc.
• Interacts with guests at events with professionalism, service, and grace, upholding customer service expectations.
• Ensures all catering dishes, utensils, and other equipment from the catering storeroom are clean and properly returned to their correct place after each event.
• Greets customers at the restaurant, provides excellent customer service, and completes customer transactions.
• Reports to the catering manager customer feedback and any needed maintenance or catering supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Be able to transport food, beverage, and serving related items to serving tables or guest tables.
• Be able to stand on one's feet for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and twisting.
• Have 1 year minimum experience with food service and catering preferred.
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
• Work well with others.
• Be willing to engage actively in the physical work of a high quality hospitality service operation.
