About the position
The Catering Driver at Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is responsible for delivering gourmet food from the store to customers' locations, ensuring timely and safe transport. This full-time position requires the driver to operate a company vehicle, maintain it properly, and provide excellent customer service during deliveries and setup at various events.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles according to all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle in a safe manner while carrying large quantities of food.
- Assist with in-store pick-ups and packing orders.
- Prepare condiments and set up orders to meet client expectations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service during events such as BBQs, weddings, and other catering functions.
- Load and unload catering equipment from vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of driving experience, with a minimum of one year as a Delivery Driver.
- Must have reliable transportation and driver's insurance.
- Ability to work varied hours/days and start shifts early.
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Ability to read, count, and accurately complete documentation.
- Valid NYS Driver's License required.
