About the position

The Catering Event Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of catering services to ensure the successful execution of events. This role requires a combination of creativity, organization, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with clients, vendors, and staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a solid understanding of event planning and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences for various events.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all costs are accounted for and adhered to.
• Plan and execute catering logistics, including menu selection, staffing, and equipment rental.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
• Oversee on-site catering operations during events to ensure smooth execution.
• Engage in event marketing strategies to promote catering services and attract new clients.
• Upsell additional services or products to enhance client experience and increase revenue.
• Maintain relationships with vendors for supplies, equipment, and additional services as needed.
• Assist in fundraising events by providing catering support tailored to the specific goals of the event.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all catering operations.

Requirements
