About the position

Kaspars Events & Catering is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated Catering Event Planners for both part-time and full-time positions. The role involves working closely with clients to plan and execute events, ensuring high-quality service and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment and contribute to creating memorable experiences for guests.

Responsibilities

• Client contact for inquiries, proposals, initial planning & payments.
• Reserve rentals, flowers, and plan décor as needed.
• Ensure all billing is accurate and thank you letters are sent out in a timely manner.
• Contribute to weekly banquet meetings and ensure event sheets are completed and ready for discussion with other departments.
• Know our planning software, including proposals, invoicing, and menu procedures.
• Review and assist with coverage in all departments.
• Event contact/supervision for events (e.g., large events, VIP events, weddings).
• Assist accounting in follow-up for outstanding invoices to ensure they are paid ASAP.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 2 years of sales experience (preferred).
