About the position

The Catering & Events Sales Manager at Arbor Lodging is responsible for overseeing the Catering Department at the hotel, ensuring profitable operations and high-quality service. This role involves coordinating catering events, maintaining customer relations, and generating new business opportunities while fostering a service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain profitable operations and high-quality products and service
  • Act as a liaison between client and operating departments to ensure a successful meeting and to generate repeat business
  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Plan and administer catering events by assuring all duties are accomplished personally and through subordinates
  • Maintain established customer relations and generate new relationships
  • Conduct property tours and prepare information for site inspections
  • Generate monthly forecast reports
  • Manage time and workload with attention to detail
  • Work with clients to determine specific needs and design a program to fit the requirements outlined by the client

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Catering preferred
  • Knowledge of hotels and competitive markets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
